About me
I am Jamie Macmillan. Born in Glasgow, Scotland. I have lived in several countries including Bermuda, Ireland and currently situated in England.
My biggest influences in the photography world include Henri Cartier-Bresson, David Lachapelle, Cindy Sherman and Gregory Crewdson. These artists' work became one of the main reasons for pursuing and completing my degree in photography and film.
I enjoy many aspects of photography however, my real passion lies in the genre of constructed imagery. My recent body of work 'Modern Mythology II' has been described as “fabricated-to-be-photographed' narratives with mythological extravaganzas” - Alex Moschovi (Lecturer in photographic theory)
